Pinnacle Hike

Meet at Christ Fellowship to carpool out to the Pinnacles. Please RSVP to be added to the info list for updates! 

 Meet in the church parking lot at 7:30 a.m. on Friday April 2nd.  We will carpool down to the Pinnacles and we will take the Moses Spring trail to the reservoir, where we will read the Good Friday, (crucifixion story). At that point people may break up and go different ways.  

• Some will to do the High Peaks to the Bear Gulch trail.  (Probably 3 to 3.5 hours)
• Some with young children are going to go back to the visitors center after the reservoir. (probably 1.5 hours)
• My group  is going to shoot for Chalone Peak. (Chalone peak in the 4 to 4.5 hour range)

We will read the Stations of the Cross as we are hiking, every 15 to 20 minutes we will take a little break and read one of the stations. 

 Bring sturdy shoes, and water!  Recommended 2 bottles and if you are doing either High Peaks or Chalone Peak, bring a light lunch and snack.

If you google Pinnacles national monument there is an online trail map that you can look at.  Once you leave the reservoir it gets tough, a large altitude gain, plus you are out in the sun.  

We will take our time and work our way up, and down.  No "winner" of a race.  Hope to see a lot of you on the 2nd, Randy.
